Muscat Stock Exchange records a slight increase with active trading: MSM 30 index closes at 4687.86 points
The Muscat Stock Exchange “30” index continued its upward trend today, Thursday, as it closed at 4687.86 points, up 14.3 points, or 0.31%, compared to the last trading session. The session witnessed active trading amounting to 1,788 million Omani riyals, an increase of 13.9% compared to the previous session.
Performance of sectoral indicators:
All major sectors of the market showed an increase in their indices, with the exception of the industrial sector, whose index decreased by 0.04%. The services sector topped the list of gainers with an increase of 0.49%, followed by the banking sector by 0.42%, then the insurance sector by 0.38%.
Highlights from the session:
The stock market capitalization increased by 0.033% to reach approximately 24.24 billion Omani riyals.
The value of non-Omanis buying on the stock exchange amounted to 236 thousand riyals, while the value of their selling amounted to 519 thousand riyals.
Net non-Omani investment decreased by 283 thousand riyals.
